Major Filing At SCOTUS TODAY. . .

TODAY, Liberty Counsel is filing a powerful brief with the U.S. Supreme Court, arguing that the Court uphold the right of states to BAN taxpayer dollars from funding Planned Parenthood and other abortion providers.  

It makes no sense to force states to fund an organization whose purpose is to kill children. 

The case at hand is Medina v. Planned Parenthood South Atlantic. Our case includes the story of our client, Sandra Merritt, who blew the lid off of Planned Parenthood’s participation in harvesting baby body parts.

In 2018, South Carolina banned state taxpayer funding of abortion. At the time, SC Gov. Henry McMaster noted the Palmetto State “has a strong culture and longstanding tradition of protecting and defending the life and liberty of unborn children.” 

The order directed state health officials to “deem abortion clinics unqualified” to receive funding for abortion-related services. Makes sense. Why would a state fund the killing of its children? 

Predictably, Planned Parenthood sued, just like they did when Texas banned state taxpayer funding of abortion in 2015, following the release of Sandra Merritt’s undercover videos that exposed the wicked harvesting of baby organs. 

It’s been 2½ years since the U.S. Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade in the Dobbs decision, which cited Liberty Counsel’s brief that exposed Planned Parenthood’s racist and eugenic evil.  

Now Liberty Counsel is briefing the High Court again to ensure that the voters and taxpayers of every state retain the right to decide whether their tax dollars fund the biggest murder machine in all of history — the abortion industry. 

  • From 2022 to 2023, U.S. taxpayers gave Planned Parenthood (PP) more than half a billion dollars. 
  • Abortion makes up 97.1% of PP’s business. 
  • PP performs 228 abortions for every adoption referral.  

This isn’t health care, it’s taxpayer-sanctioned genocide.

As our current caseload shows, the fight for life is far from over. Below are just a handful of cases we are arguing or briefing to defend life from sea to sea.

  • In SisterSong v. Georgia, we are defending Georgia’s lifesaving six-week abortion ban. 
  • In Missouri, Kansas, and Idaho v. USDA and HHS, we are fighting to stop mail-order murder of the abortion drug mifepristone, as well as stopping out-of-state abortionists from violating other state laws. 
  • In Cirignano v. Two Rivers, we are defending Larry Cirignano, whose “crime” was to pray on the public sidewalk in front of an abortion clinic located next door to an elementary school.

Life is precious.

Jeremiah 1:5 tells us “Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you.” The verse is a reminder of our eternal nature, created by God, in His image. 

Every life is a work of God that begins long before the woman herself even knows she is with child. 

The abortion industry exists for the sole purpose of extinguishing God’s most precious creation — life.

For over 35 years, Liberty Counsel has fought to defend life, and we will not stop until every unborn child is safe from the bloodthirsty ghouls who profit from snuffing out these tiny, God created lives. 
  • Our work exposed the racist, eugenic nature of the abortion industry. 
  • Our work helped overturn Roe v. Wade. 
  • Our work exposed how the abortion industry puts women at risk. 
  • Our work exposed how the abortion industry butchers tiny babies alive for high profits on the gruesome human organ-trafficking market.

And now, God willing, our work will tear down the publicly funded child sacrifice altars that Planned Parenthood and their fellow abortion grist mill operators have used to enrich themselves. 

We will not stop until EVERY child is safe.
